GINCOR Truck & Trailer Werx is currently seeking a Full – Time Parts Fabricator. The Parts Fabricator will be responsible for cutting, welding and fabricating numerous parts for Dump Truck Bodies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use drawings, specs and/or verbal direction to fabricate products using hand tools, machine tools and welding equipment
  • Read and interpret drawings or fabrication specs to ensure that all materials required for fabrication are readily available
  • Take accurate dimensions from drawings and transfers onto materials
  • Fabricates efficiently with high levels of quality
  • Performing repetitive tasks
  • Carry out maintenance procedures on all tools and machines being used
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills

  • Experience cutting and joining steel parts for fabricating
  • Competent using a tape measure
  • Comfortable using mig-welders, plasma cutters, chop saw, oxyacetylene torch, band saw, etc.
  • Good attitude with a willingness and ability to learn new things
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong understanding and appreciation of deadlines and commitment to schedules

Installation Technician – Quality Inspector

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Quality Inspector who has experience working with commercial truck and service vehicles to oversee the final inspection process of products such as dump bodies, snow & ice products, hydraulic lift-gates, hooklifts, towing decks, trailers and other mechanical equipment.

In this role, you will: work with our expert team on a variety of standard and customized heavy equipment installs.

  • Inspects and approves finished trucks for completeness
  • Confirm engineered specifications of product meet end results conducting visual and measurement tests

  • Ensure quality of finished units meets highest standards prior to customer pick-up.

Key Accountabilities

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Manufacturing Expectation

Overview:

The Design and Development Engineer identifies and develops new designs and/or improve the characteristics of existing products to meet and exceed customer specifications, industry and federal/provincial regulations. The ideal candidate will be able to perform within a fast paced, custom fabrication environment, reporting to the Engineering Supervisor.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review of Sales Orders to ensure that all Design specifications are as required.
  • Read and interpret blue prints, technical drawings, schematics and computer generated reports.
  • Design and modification of designs of various equipment and components which will be fabricated.
  • Maintain technical accuracy of customer requirements and specific design details.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
  • Provides engineering information by answering both internal and external requests.
  • Ensure that product designs, drawings, CAD files, Bill of Materials, etc. are maintained to the latest requirements and specifications.
  • Create and maintain CAD files and drawing packages; make all changes, additions and/or deletions required to keep files up to date.
  • Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM’s) including Production Routings (cut sheets).
  • Work with and support the Manufacturing & Production teams to investigate deviations from standard production and recommend corrective actions as required.
