Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Manufacturing Expectation
- Use various welding and cutting equipment including mig, plasma and oxy/acetylene
- The ability to fit and weld steel with an attention to detail
- Able to read blueprints
- Use portable hand tools consistent with industry standards
- Fabricate components and assemblies to specification as per drawings
- Ensure fit, finish and function to meet customer requirements and expectations
- Perform inspection of your own work
- Operate forklifts as required
- Operate overhead cranes up to 10 tons
- Complete Quality Inspection Documentation as required
- Work effectively and efficiently to complete your work within the job standard
- Keep work place organized
- Keep scrap/rework to a minimum
- Contribute to cost reduction ideas and continuous improvement activities
- Perform other duties, as required
Major Requirements and Competencies
- 1 year experience in the fitting/welder discipline
- Creative and good at problem solving
- Able to read drawings, work instructions and blueprints
- Ability to be certified in forklifts and cranes operations

- Use of a variety hand and pneumatic tools for preparation of truck, truck bodies, and trailers for paint.
- Use sandblasting, paint and undercoating equipment.
- Paint formulation and mixing.
- Fabricate components and assemblies to specification as per drawings.
- Operate overhead and jib cranes up to 3 tons.
- Ensure fit, finish and function to meet customer requirements and expectations.
- Perform inspection of your own work.
- Complete Quality Inspection Documentation as required.
- Work effectively and efficiently to complete your work within the job standard.
- Follow all company rules, policies and procedures at all times. (time clock, breaks, lunches, smoking etc.)
- Use Lean Principles to eliminate waste in your area and become more efficient.
- Keep work place organized.
- Keep scrap/rework to a minimum.
- Contribute to cost reduction ideas and continuous improvement activities.
- Perform other duties, as required.
Major Requirements and Competencies
- At least 2-3 years’ experience with the use of painting equipment (preferred).
- Able to read drawings work instructions and blueprints.
- Ability to be certified in forklifts and cranes operations.

Responsibilities Include:
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by following assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
- Operate a wide variety of power and hand tools
- Detect quality issues and trouble shoot issues with design or production; communicate concerns to supervisor
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Follows direction and instruction from Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with various hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Attention to detail

Responsibilities Include:
- Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services
- Performs inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on trucks, trailers, vehicles and equipment
- Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
- Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts
- Performs all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs)
- Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment
- Completes required paperwork
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 310J Licensed Truck and Coach certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair
- Working knowledge of fuel, ignition, cooling, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and air brake systems
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices necessary while operating or repairing vehicles and equipment
- Skill in operating tools, equipment, parts and procedures utilized during the repair and servicing of vehicles and equipment
A proven ability to:
- Diagnose defects in and repair a variety of equipment and vehicles
- Read and comprehend service and technical information
- Complete required paperwork to accurately document repairs, utilization of parts and associated repair times
- Work well under minimal supervision.
