On March 26th we were awarded an Excellence in Apprenticeship Training – Industrial Sector Award from the Southwest Apprenticeship Network. This award is in recognition of outstanding commitment to supporting skilled trades and apprenticeship training in Chatham-Kent. Mentorship has always been a big part of who we are because we believe the best way to build the future is to invest in people today. We expanded this commitment by launching our Women in Trades Mentorship program, creating opportunities for individuals with no prior experience to build meaningful careers. This award means a lot to our team as it reinforces the importance of this work and motivates us to keep growing these efforts.
Launched in 2021, the Excellence in Apprenticeship Training Awards celebrate local employers who demonstrate exceptional dedication to hiring, mentoring, and training apprentices. The Southwest Apprenticeship Network—serving members across Sarnia-Lambton and Chatham-Kent—works to connect education, employment service providers, employers, and the workforce to strengthen the regional skilled trades ecosystem.
