GINCOR Werx Mattawa Donates $7,490 to Local School Breakfast Programs

Mattawa, ON — GINCOR Werx Mattawa Division is proud to announce a donation of $7,490 to support all five local school breakfast programs in the Mattawa area. Each school received $1,498 to help ensure students have access to nutritious breakfasts that support learning and well-being.

The donation supports three elementary schools—Mattawa District Public School, École élémentaire catholique Sainte-Anne, and St. Victor School—as well as two high schools, F.J. McElligott Secondary School and École secondaire catholique Élisabeth-Bruyère.

The donation was presented last week by staff from GINCOR Werx Mattawa Division. This initiative was employee-driven, with staff voting on which local charity they would like to support. The Mattawa Area School Breakfast Programs were selected as the charity of choice.

Funds were raised during GINCOR Werx Mattawa’s annual staff Christmas party, where employees participated in a raffle featuring five prize lot draws. The prizes were generously donated by GINCOR Werx suppliers. All funds raised by employees were then matched dollar-for-dollar by the company, doubling the impact of the donation.

This marks Year 1 of a 3-year commitment GINCOR Werx has made to support local school breakfast programs, reinforcing the company’s ongoing dedication to giving back to the community.

In previous years, GINCOR Werx Mattawa has proudly supported several local organizations, including the Mattawa and Area Food Bank, Mattawa Hospital, and the Let’s Remember Adam campaign.

GINCOR Werx would like to sincerely thank its employees, suppliers, and everyone who contributed to and supported this initiative. Together, these efforts help ensure that no child in the community goes hungry while learning.
